Frank B. Trzeciak was born on January 22, 1923 in Hammond, IN. His family will celebrate his life on what would have been his 94th birthday. He has been laid to rest with military honors next to the love of his life, his wife Mary Ann (nee Hodur) at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Preceded in death also by his parents Barney and Virginia Trzeciak, brother Leo and sister Dolores Green. Frank B. Trzeciak was born on January 22, 1923 in Hammond, IN. His family will celebrate his life on what would have been his 94th birthday. He has been laid to rest with military honors next to the love of his life, his wife Mary Ann (nee Hodur) at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Preceded in death also by his parents Barney and Virginia Trzeciak, brother Leo and sister Dolores Green. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Frank) Gengler, grandchildren Scott (Tamara) Gengler and Gina (Steve) Valent and 4 great-grandchildren Makena and Maverick Gengler and Savannah and Brody Valent. He proudly served during World War II in the US Navy on a PT Boat as a Gunners Mate. The squadron consisted of 13 boats and saw action in the waters in the Southwest Pacific. Mr. Trzeciak was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #330 Calumet City, IL, 25 Year Club of Inland Steel and Retirement Club of Local #1010 United Steel Workers of America. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph Soup Kitchen in Hammond, IN and the Community of Lansing Food Pantry. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hartsfield Nursing Home in Munster, IN for their compassion and excellent care.
